ASHLEY GRAHAM TALKED ABOUT THE POWER OF MAKEUP IN SOCIAL ISOLATION

Our starting routine for the day has changed a lot in recent weeks. While getting used to our normality of not leaving the house, many of us stopped wearing make-up altogether. But for Ashley Graham it’s the opposite! Saying that wearing make-up in times of uncertainty raises her mood and makes her feel beautiful, Graham told Refinery29 how she is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking care of her two-month-old baby, Graham gave tips on how to have a positive outlook on life.

BE CONSISTENT IN YOUR SKIN CARE ROUTINE

Ashley Graham, who said that she did not wear make-up every day during her stay at home, said that her skin care routine was stable. “Even though I don’t wear make-up every day, it’s important to me to be balanced in my skincare routine. I consistently use products such as Vitamin C serums and moisturizers in my day and night routines,” said Graham, adding that he pays attention to keeping certain things exactly the same in times of uncertainty.

DISCOVER MAKEUP STYLES TO UPGRADE YOUR MODE

Ashley Graham, face of Revlon’s cuteness campaign, said, “I drew on my personal memories when Revlon told me they wanted to launch a tropical makeup collection. My favorites are travels, shoots and creating a swimsuit collection. I used many different tones in my collection, inspired by the beautiful tropics and the culture of the islands. I hope these colors will warm people’s hearts and reflect the sun’s rays to their dwellings during our time of social isolation,” she said. Makeup may seem like an unnecessary luxury right now, but Graham focuses on the feeling of wearing makeup. Graham, who wore a make-up like a regular day last week, said that it inspired her creative direction, raised her mood and spirit. Stating that she wears make-up at meals or image talks with her family, Graham said that adding ordinaryness to uncertainty makes her feel good.

MAKE TIME FOR YOUR PERSONAL CARE

Graham, who said that her two-month-old son Isaac was her priority, stated that the unconditional love she had for her son made her happy. Graham said, “As mothers, we make many sacrifices for our babies, but at the same time, we need to take care of our individual care for the health of our family.” Saying that she loves her night care routine, Graham prefers works that work at night while she sleeps.

BE POSITIVE AND DO NOT DISCONNECT

Noting that everyone’s economic situation is different in the health crisis we are in, Graham said, “This is a great time to check the availability of our loved ones every day and connect with them.” Emphasizing the value of hoping to improve his mental well-being, Graham underlined that we will tackle this problem together without fear. “If you can stay at home, please do not leave the house. Everyone is in different conditions and there are people who cannot stay in the house. We are grateful to these people and we should all do our part rightly to have faith, stay home and be healthy,” said Graham, emphasizing that those who have the opportunity to stay in housing should be in social isolation.
