FIRST LOOK AT ARIANA GRANDE’S NEW HAIR COLOR

Ariana Grande shared a first look at her new hair as she continues to work on the movie adaptation of Wicked, where she plays Glinda. It looks like Grande has undergone a fresh hair transformation for her character, the iconic blonde Glinda aka “The Fit Witch of the North.”

In the new photo posted on Instagram, Ariana’s dark hair has turned into a shimmery creamy vanilla blonde that feels so harmonious with her soon-to-be-appropriate witch.

More than 5 million people have liked the post since Grande shared it. She wrote “New earrings” on the picture, referring to her sympathetic gold and pearl drop earrings, but obviously the new hair color was the centerpiece of the photo and the main conversation in the comments. In the side photo taken with her signature ponytail, Grande appears bare-faced, but her eyebrows appear to be dyed to match her new hair color. According to the post, the bases of the hair look a little darker and ashy.

We have one more year to wait for Grande’s debut as “The Good Witch”. Frankly, we can’t expect the theatrical version of Wicked to stick to the examples set by the stage version. But Glinda was always blonde, including in the 1939 movie Billie Burke.

This isn’t Grande’s first blonde. She’s tried a number of light hair colors before, including a few platinum blondes and a series of ombrés that blend her dark hair with a cool blonde. Also, Thank U used a pale yellow color for Next before turning dark again.

While working on cinema in London, Grande preferred a rather quiet profile on social media. She most recently shared a photo of herself with Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, in a gallery of scenes from the movie’s production time on October 11. Her hair was her signature dark brown back then.

Grande announced on Instagram that she will be casting as Glinda on November 4, 2021. “Thank goodness 💘 @jonmchu @cynthiaerivo @wickedmovie” she wrote.
