Nose aesthetics is no longer required only for visual concerns, but also as a tool to reflect yourself and your personality with truth. Rhinoplasty makes the person feel stronger while giving self-confidence in the spiritual sense as well as the physical appearance.
The perception of beauty has always changed. Perceptions of pleasantness for the nose, which is located at the precious point of the face, have changed over time compared to men and women. At this point, rhinoplasty can be a savior and can bring you the nose you dream of. However, rhinoplasty is not done only for the perception of pleasantness. Rhinoplasty also plays an important role in damage caused by trauma or in diseases that will cause health problems.
What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, or rhinoplasty, as it is commonly used, is a surgical system aimed at reshaping the nose. With the developing technology, structure and form disorders in the nose can now be eliminated with many different and safe procedures. The rhinoplasty process is recommended for two reasons. The first is to adapt the aesthetic appearance, and the second is to beautify the functional aspects.
People prefer rhinoplasty for many different reasons. The operation can be grouped under three main headings according to the preference of the person;
Personal view: Aesthetic fears can create mental problems such as lack of self-confidence and self-dissatisfaction in the individual. Conditions such as curvature, nasal arch, nose and nostril asymmetry, very large or very small nose can lead individuals to rhinoplasty.
Breathing problem: Nasal aesthetics may cause need for functional and structural problems in people. These types of disorders, which are often seen together with visual problems, cause serious problems such as sleep apnea and snoring, as well as the basic breathing problem.
Impact and injury: An accident, a blow due to factors such as falling can cause damage to the nose. The deformities that are the subject of the word can have negative consequences not only physically but also psychologically. For this reason, the person may turn to rhinoplasty.
The surgery is performed with two main techniques.
Closed Rhinoplasty technique: In this technique, no incision is made on the skin. The process is done with incisions made from the inside of the nostrils. When the process is completed, the incisions are closed with sutures.
Open Rhinoplasty technique: An incision is placed along the strip of skin in the middle of your nostrils. This incision is combined with incisions around your nostrils. Then the tip of the nose is carefully lifted and the necessary process is carried out.
Recovery time may vary
The recovery period firstly varies according to the type of aesthetics and the surgical method to be applied. Therefore, it would be wrong to talk about a fixed respite.
If there is no setback in the surgeries performed with the open technique, improvement is seen in the middle of 7-10 days on average. During the first two days after the operation, severe edema, swelling and bruises may be seen. However, these complaints generally decrease significantly at the end of 1 week. While it takes 3 months to completely get rid of swelling and edema, it takes up to 1 year for a complete improvement.
In surgeries performed with closed techniques, the beautification period changes in the middle of 7-10. At the end of the surgery, the silicone splints attached to the inside of the nose and the protective tape attached to the outside are removed after 3-4 days. Swelling and bruises that occur after the surgery show smoothness in a short time.
