5 STEPS PRECISE HAIR HACKS FOR SEASON TRANSITIONS
Hair, which is in need of care at all times and in all seasons, needs heavy attention and a little pampering, especially in the seasons. Start accelerating your care routine to make them look stronger, lively and brighter with practical and effective tips and prepare them for the new season.
You can improve your hair quality with the right care, washing and styling tips. For this, you will notice the change in a short time with a few rules and real works that you will add to your daily care ritual. One of the most valuable points here should be to remember that your hair needs regular care and extra care just like your skin. The importance of humidification comes into play here once again. From styling to the temperature of the washing water, they are all very important. Let’s start applying these little saving rules as soon as possible.
one
REVIEW YOUR WASHING HABITS
The basic step of hair care, just like in skin care, is cleanliness, that is, washing. At this stage, which is effective in determining all care and hair quality, there are small nuances to be considered. First you have to choose the true shampoo. Colored, dry or oily… Choosing a shampoo in line with whatever your hair and scalp needs will bring you the best results. For example, if you have dyed or platinum-colored hair, using a sulfate-free shampoo just because it’s harmless is not suitable for your hair. It can cause extra drying, dulling and discoloration. For this reason, you need to use a work that has a color-protecting, restorative and moisturizing effect. One of the most sensitive issues here is the temperature of the water. Never wash your hair with boiling water. This causes your scalp to become irritated and damaged. Rinsing with cold water will be effective in making your hair look brighter.
2
MAKE HAIR CONDITIONER AND MASK ESSENTIAL
Use conditioner to significantly reduce hair damage. Although there is a perception in many individuals that the conditioner makes the hair oily or causes hair loss, this is one of the completely misunderstood taboos. Actual application is of great importance here. You should not apply the conditioner on the bases and apply it to the hair length and ends, at least one inch down from the base of your hair. When you apply it this way, you can give your hair nourishment, softness and easy combing. If you apply the truth, if you think your hair needs it, you can easily use the cream in every wash. In addition, if you have very dry and extremely frizzy hair, you can also use moisture and repair masks twice a week.
3
DEFEND YOUR COLOR
One of the common problems of dyed hair is that the color turns red as it bleeds. Sunlight is one of the factors that cause this. This is especially true in the summer months. Therefore, it is beneficial to add color-protecting shampoo and care products to your daily routine. One of the factors that cause color fading is hot water. Washing the hair with very hot water will cause the color to flow faster in dyed hair and may cause sensitivity on the scalp. Therefore, pay extra attention to this issue, especially on the first three days of dyeing your hair. If possible, rinse with cold water before leaving the bathroom.
4
“DETOX” TO HAIR
Wearing, drying and dullness is an inevitable end in hair that is constantly exposed to heat treatments. Try to minimize this if you use a blow dryer or tongs every day or 3-4 times a week. Even if possible, detox your hair by keeping heat tools such as hair dryer, straightener or tongs away from your hair a few days a month. However, you can speed up the repair process with regenerative heavy care masks. Do not forget to use a protective care product before each after-bath care serum and heat treatments. Also, choose wide braids or messy bun models instead of very tight ponytails and tight buns.
5
MAKE YOUR OWN HAIR CARE SPRAY
To reinforce the repair of your hair, you can prepare your own care spray at home according to your hair needs. For this, put water in a tiny spray bottle (50 ml) and add a teaspoon of argan oil and a teaspoon of separated (liquid form) coconut oil into it. You can add 4-5 drops of ylang ylang oil to enrich its scent. Bergamot, orange, lavender essential oils can also be alternatives for fragrance. It is enough to put just one drop each, as they are very sharp and strong.
EXPERT OPINION
AHMET COBAN
Hair care and repair specialist
We asked hair care and repair expert Ahmet Çoban about ideal care methods for processed hair and ways to protect it against heat: “In the middle of the main factors that cause hair wear and damage, high heat, perm and chemical treatments to lighten hair, drying the hair by squeezing it with a towel. or mechanical processes for screening, sun rays, sea and pool water. In order to prevent this, it is very valuable to prefer mild shampoos while washing the hair and to apply the right conditioner after each wash. Using products that make it easier to comb the hair is one of the effective methods to prevent wear. Since hair is much weaker when wet, it is necessary to use a fine-toothed comb and comb the hair from the ends.
Styling the hair in a controlled manner and with low heat also plays a big role in preventing damage from high heat. In addition, it is useful to use shampoos, care serums and masks specially developed for this type of hair to protect dyed and processed hair. Styling the hair with too much heat creates irreversible changes in the structure of the hair, weakening it, causing it to break, making it look unhealthy and dull. At the same time, since it causes the structure of keratin in the hair to change, it weakens the hair over time and reduces its flexibility, increasing the risk of damage to the hair from other environmental factors. That’s why avoiding too much heat during the styling phase should be your priority. In this regard, I really like the Dyson Airwrap hair styler with Intelligent Heat Control technology. Normally, hair begins to be damaged when exposed to heat above 150 degrees. This work, too, does not harm the hair by always measuring the temperature, ensuring that the temperature does not rise above 150 degrees during styling. I can say that it is a saving work that everyone can easily use at home.”
